The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
The rising star boasts considerable social media presence
Kai Trump will have multiple prominent supporters as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially told me to compete and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive person. He told me to play, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that involving Kai exposes golf to new audiences, especially among youth audiences.
The young star has a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
